What is Hemp E-Liquid & How to Use It
You’ve heard that vaping is a better alternative to smoking, so it’s time to learn how vaping works. Even if you’re smoking something that’s good for you, there are unavoidable negative properties of smoke.
Vaping works by putting e-liquid (also called “vape oil” or “vape juice”) into an electronic cigarette, which also goes by many names, including vaporizer, vape pen, e-pen, or personal vaporizer.
Don’t let the name mislead you, e-liquid is widely available with nicotine-free oils.
How to Start Vaping with Hemp E-liquid
Vaping is one of the fastest ways to get CBD into the bloodstream since it doesn’t have to travel through the digestive system. When vaporizing CBD e-liquid or using a High-CBD concentrate, you can relax and enjoy CBD faster than other methods. This makes vaping one of the most efficient ways of taking CBD.
Before you embrace vaping life, start by doing your research on which type of concentrate you would like to consume. Here are a few things to look out for when shopping for CBD vape oil:
- How potent is the oil? An easy way to compare is by looking at how much CBD there is per mL of vape oil. For instance, you can get a pre-filled 1ml tank with 250mg CBD. You can also get a 15ml bottle with 500mg CBD. Some might jump to the 500mg option, seeing that higher number, but that actually equals out to about 33mg CBD per 1ml. So the 1ml/250mg CBD option is much more potent.
- Is it made with full-spectrum or isolated CBD? Some vapes are made with hemp oil, which includes various nutrients, cannabinoids, terpenes, etc. It’s a robust and powerful oil, especially if your body benefits better from full-spectrum hemp oil. However, there’s also hemp e-liquid made from an isolated form of CBD, meaning the CBD compound has been separated from the rest of the oil. The benefit here is that you can usually get a very potent oil. It’s up to personal preference and, if you’re new, some experimenting to see what works better for your body.
- Is it lab tested? Regardless of what hemp product you’re looking at, if you’re not confident in the company yet, make sure you ask for a certificate of analysis (COA). A COA is a lab result from a cannabis testing facility that shows how much CBD is in the product. These can sometimes be challenging to read, so don’t feel weird asking for any clarification. What’s important is that you are confident in the product and find a company you trust and who will take the time to help.
E-cigarette
Similar in size to a cigar, an e-cigarette gives you the physical motion and senses of smoking, but it’s vapor. You can get the device pre-filled with e-liquid to save you time and hassle. Simply inhale through the mouthpiece for a couple of seconds, keep the vapor in your mouth for a couple more seconds, and then blow it out. The exact amount of time for each drag is a personal preference, just take it easy so you don’t burn the oil.
Vape pen
Vape pen is another word for an e-cigarette. There’s no difference based on the terms used, but there are various types of vape pens on the market. Some are lightweight and simple, while other more complex models are heavy and release huge vapor clouds.
With hemp e-liquid, you typically want a lightweight vape pen that uses a low voltage, otherwise, you could burn the oil. This is because staying true to the all-natural desires of a hemp user, it doesn’t have propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin like more other e-liquids contain.
Vape Kit
If you’re completely new to vaping and don’t want to deal with the hassle of filling tanks, comparing battery voltage, etc., we recommend just getting a vape kit. This will contain all the necessary compatible parts for your hemp e-liquid and, when you’re in need of more oil, you can keep the battery and charger you got in your kit and just get replacement e-liquid.
Now that you are armed with the basic knowledge about vaping and the options available out there, are you ready to experience the relaxing perks of vaping hemp?
