Those familiar with vaping commonly come across two terms: PG and VG. Propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) are the most commonly used bases for e-liquid. Alternate Vape has formulated an e-liquid with neither PG nor VG. Why? To create an all-natural vape experience.

What are PG and VG?

PG and VG are odorless liquids that produce a vapor when heated. PG and VG are often deemed as safe to use because they are found in other types of foods, such as ketchup. When prompted on the safety of these liquids, you will often see phrases such as “generally recognized as safe.” However, we know that just because something can be eaten doesn’t mean it is good for you.

PG and VG e-liquids are popular for different reasons. PG has a stronger throat hit and VG creates billowing clouds. Mixing the two is very common as doing so gives the consumer the best of both liquids. We recognize the benefits of PG and VG as an e-liquid base but put a higher emphasis on the benefits of using all-natural vape.

MCT Oil: A Healthier Vaping Option

At Alternate Vape, we wanted to create a healthier vaping option. Our cartridges and e-liquids are made with an MCT (fractionated coconut) oil base. They contain no VG, PG, or THC.
